The Wake Shaper

Introducing a new, more efficient and easy to use surf system. The Wake Shaper makes a tall long clean wave with less ballast, sets up in seconds, and is super easy to use.  Plus, the Wake Shaper can transition between goofy and regular side in seconds. This patented system is now for sale and Gravity Tools is seeking potential buyers.

Benefits of the Wake Shaper

01. Long Surf Wave
The Wake Shaper uses the power of leverage to heel your boat towards an aft starboard side or an aft port side of the ski boat. The result makes a longer surfing area farther away from the stern of the boat as compared to traditional ballast systems. The end result is a 10 foot riding area that is farther away from the back of the boat. This allows the surfer to ride without worrying about running into the swim platform or breathing harmful CO2's.

02. Tunable Wave
The Wake Shaper can dial in the surf wave by adjusting a position of the arm of the Wake Shaper relative to the pylon of the boat. The Wake Shaper can also dial in the surf wave by quickly adding or removing weight. Because the Wake Shaper can tune the surf wave, there is no need to have your passengers tune the surf wave by having them sit on either the port or starboard aft corners of your boat. This creates a more stable boat and a more comfortable environment for all passengers. Also, because the Wake Shaper rotates between the starboard side and the port side, and vice versa, instantaneously, a boat’s engine hours are reduced. This is because the quick transition between the goofy side and the port side, and vice versa eliminates the idle time associated with emptying and filling starboard and port side bladders. By eliminating the idle time associated with emptying and filling bladders, the Wake Shaper keeps you surfing and saves fuel.

03. Efficiency - Wake Shaper 150 lbs vs 450 lb bladder
A Wake Shaper pivotably coupled to a pylon of a 21 foot Malibu Wake Setter and weighted with a 150 lbs will heel the end of the boat about 2 inches towards an aft starboard side. In comparison, a 450 lb bladder will heel the boat by the same amount.   Thus, the Wake Shaper makes a tall clean wave with less weight. Not all waves are created equal! The 150 lbs Wake Shaper makes a cleaner more surfable wave than a traditional 450 lb bladder.

Because the Wake Shaper can tune the surf wave, there is no need to have your passengers tune the surf wave by having them sit on either the port or starboard aft corners of your boat. This creates a more even driving boat and a more comfortable environment for all passengers. Also, because the Wake Shaper rotates between the starboard side and the port side, and vice versa, instantaneously,a boat’s engine hours are reduced. 03. Effeciency - Wake Shaper 150 lbs vs 750 lb bladder
A Wake Shaper pivotably coupled to a pylon of a 21 foot Malibu Wake Setter and weighted with a 150 lbs will heel the end of the Wake Setter about 2 inches towards an aft starboard side. In comparison, a 750 lb bladder occupying an entire aft starboard locker space of the Wake Setter will heel the aft end of the Wake Setter about 2 inches towards the aft starboard side as well.   Thus, the Wake Shaper makes a tall clean wave with less weight.

04. Less Ballast Required
There are many benefits of using less ballast to make the same wave size as a traditional boat ballast system;
- Lower RPM's    - lower fuel cost · fewer oil changes · longer engine life - more storage in your boat
- Keep your boat under the legal limit

- Easier driving - No more overloaded boats you have to turn around

- Less passengers need to create a great surf wave

05. Safe Surfing / Safe Driving
Because the Wake Shaper uses less weight to make a tall long clean wave, the Wake Shaper uses a reduced amount of a maximum weight capacity of a boat.  Safer boating means more fun for the driver and passengers. We've all been in boats that are overloaded to the max to create a great wave but putting the driver and passengers at risk. No longer do you need to cram your buddies in the corner of the boat and call them ballast.

06. Low Cost Solution
The Wake Shaper is designed to be used with a boats current pylon, and easily retrofits to most v-drive boats. When you want to surf, the Wake Shaper is designed to be set up without any tools, and when you are done surfing the Wake Shaper is designed to be quickly and easily stored. The Wake Shaper can be set-up faster than it takes most ballast tanks to be filled.
